I lost my mom little over 6 weeks ago. She died after a long battle against various diseases. She had a stroke over 10 years ago, 2 heart attacks, 3 types of cancer and a renal insufficiency. This is the firt year I will have without any parent and sometimes I don't know how to survive these weeks. I love Christmas more than any other season of the year. But it won't be the same as it used to be.

I was just listening to Christmas songs at YT and then I found this beautiful piece of music and it went just through to my heart. I just wanted to share it with you and hope you like it too.

The passing of Leonard Nimoy last Friday hit me really hard. He may be gone, but never forgotten. There was a beautiful tribute for Nimoy and of course his character Spock at Star Trek Online. ♥ I've also loved him a lot for his character William Bell in Fringe. I will miss him ...

Today was the funeral of my husbands grandmother. It's always a strange feeling when someone died and you have to say goodbye, but today was really weird. My mother in law cried - she lost her mom - and I was just standing there thinking: God finally it's over. My mother in law was taking care of her mom for years and she almost crushed under the weight. Now she is 'free' again. And that was the only thing I had in mind. Don't misunderstand me, I liked granny. Not as much as my grandmothers, but I liked her.



I'm not sure I'm gonna miss her, because we've never been really close. What I'm gonna miss are the old stories she was telling me every now and then. The love story of my hubby's parents, the baby stories of my hubby and so on. She survived the world war and loads of bullshit. She never had a easy life and she never was happy again after she lost her husband circa eight years ago. I think they are reunited now, where ever they are.

Well, I had a lot of time this morning and I needed to think of something else than the funeral.
