Over the next few weeks, millions of sites worldwide could start seeing a massive reduction in traffic from smartphone search results – an event nicknamed “Mobilegeddon.”

Why is this? One word: Google.

Two months ago, Google announced that it would soon be overhauling its search-ranking algorithms to give significant smartphone search preference to websites that are “mobile-friendly.” That means that sites whose content is more easily viewed and usable on mobile devices will have greater visibility in smartphone search results. (Tablet search results will not be affected.)

After working with a few grid systems created by others (and going nuts) I needed to code my own. As simple and as easy to use as possible. Thanks to my hubby I've finally managed to code my own grid css for a responsive layout. I'm already using it here at Artphilia and at Dahkur (a artfolio I've created for my talented friend Gabi Stiene), so you can see it's working. ;)

But it wouldn't be fair to code a new - easy to use - grid layout and not share it with my beloved visitors, would it? That's why there is a brand new section for you, I named CSS-Snippets. Hope you'll find it useful. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Well, it's been a while since the last time I've revamped my very first website World of X. Although I'm no longer into The X-Files (at least not in xf fanfics) I keep the archive up and running for all the other fans. Can't believe it's 14 years now! Can you believe this?

Anyway. It's still running on efiction until my hubby's script is ready for beta testing. And I thought it's time to make WoX responsible. It's based on the same layout I've created a few weeks ago for efiction.

This skin will work on all devices as long as you follow my instruction on the readme.txt you'll find within the zip. This is the first flexible (responsive) skin for efiction as far as I know.

I used SimpleGrid for the base layout.

After all these months using dark layout ALL over my websites I needed a change - very badly. So here's my shiny new - and what's most important light - layout. I'll upload it @ cssbox within the next minutes. Just in case. ;)

That quote inspired me to create a very simple and dark layout for both of my Star Trek related icon communties ds9icons and enticons. But it wouldn't be me if I'd refuse to share it with my friends. &hearts. Hope you like it. Feedback is very much appreciated.^^

Although my cold won't get better any time soon - this time it's very persisting *sigh* - I kept myself busy doing some layout stuff. After revamping artphilia.de I thought it's time for a new lj layout as well.^^

Other than that I've been watching Enterprise again, after I skipped more than 50% of the Voyager episodes. *hmpf* It's amazing how many episode I really dislike. It never felt that much. oO Enterprise on the other site was a really good show and it's fun to rewatch it again after all those years.^^

I've also capped my Thor dvd. Screencaps can be found on my gallery.

And I'm doing arts again. Not as much as I used to create - my muse is returning slowly - but I'm just happy I haven't lost my muse for good. Check out artphilia.de for recent arts. ♥

Gestern hatte ich wieder mein Pilatestraining und ich find's total super! Ist irre anstrengend, aber ich merk schon, dass ich besser werde und ich fühl mich vor allem besser. Wer hätte gedacht, das ICH mal Spaß an Sport haben würde?^^

Heute bin ich allerdings etwas erschöpft und das Wetter draußen sieht auch nicht gerade nach Outdoor Aktivitäten aus. Also habe ich mich mal wieder ans layouten gemacht und ein neues CSS für meine Community trekfix gemacht. Liest zwar offenbar kaum jemand dort - und nein, uena Süße, du bist nicht gemeint, aber mir egal. Smooth Sailing kann keine Tagcloud und das nervte mich. Daher bin ich wieder zurück zu Flexible Squares. ♥ Farben sind hell und kalt geblieben. Ich freu mich einfach schon tierisch auf den Winter dieses Jahr. Liegt vielleicht auch an meiner Fanfic an der ich seit ein paar Wochen schreibe und durch die ich jetzt schon in Weihnachtstimmung bin. Und dabei will ich doch eigentlich erstmal Halloween haben, weil das einfach auch so ein tolles Fest ist und weil ich meine Deko so liebe. In diesem Jahr würde ich sie am liebsten im Keller lassen und gleich weihnachtlich schmücken. Ich hab echt einen an der Waffel dieses Jahr. Das gab es auch noch nie. *seufz*

Have I already told how much I love CSS3? It's just awesome! I was kind of bored yesterday and found this old flexible squares layout I created a couple of years ago. I kinda liked it (Another Journal Entry, just in case somebody remembers the huge collection I once had). But I'm no longer into the blue color mood. Don't know why. Maybe it's too cold for me now. Green is not warm either, but fresh. And that is how I feel. I think that is why so many of my recent layouts feature grey/white/green in different shades.^^ Anyways. Would you guys be interested in my old layouts and of course new once too? I was thinking of opening a new comm again. I miss butterflybox and I have no idea why I purged it all these years ago. :( Now the name is taken by somebody else.

Name suggestions are very welcome.^^

Give me another day to find the last bugs on my css (gotta test it first for you) then I'll upload it for you guys - if you want, of course.^^

I bought a wonderful new book yesterday to improve my CSS3 skills. It's just so amazing how much you can do with all the new possibilities.
