I've been absent for a looooong time ... and everytime I open LJ it reminds me of the good old days that I loved reading fanfic and making icons and fanart in general so I stay away even longer which doesn't make it any better. :( It's sad, really.

I'm not as active as I used to be either. Still writing a lot and reading even more fanfics.^^ But I'm just only active at http://treknation.net and a bit on AO3, where I get my fanfic fix.^^ Love to snag the epubs there and read the stories offline. :)

I've completely stopped reading fanfic. The last fandom I was active in was F1 slash and that has totally lost it's appeal to me. The whole sport has, really.

Seriously?? You've read it again? *blushes* Thank you so much! Yeah, well, I don't think I could still find enough inspiration to write another one. As a matter of fact, I can't find inspiration to write any fanfic at all. I remember when I was wondering how anyone could see the appeal in writing original fiction. Now it's the other way around. The only problem is that while with fanfic the plot usually just ... happens ... I can't seem to put my novel idea into words. It drives me nuts.

I think that I never wrote anything besides fanfics because I simply had no idea. Nothing original anyway. Nothing that's not out there already ...
Fanfics on the other hand are still great to write. :)

*hehe* Just changed the look of my journal yesterday. Ever since Star Trek Into Darkness I'm in love with dark layouts. So I thought it's time to change my lj layout as well. ;)

I'm glad you like the light layout I created for artphilia.de a couple of weeks ago. It's not that I'm really updating my artfolio anymore, but I don't wanna take it offline either. *sigh* Sometimes I think it'S time wasting, because I don't have many visitors, but then there are the brushes and efiction skins and stuff and a few people still like my stuff. I guess that's why I kept it all these years. ;) And from time to time I want to have a new layout for the site. :D

Und ich bin noch da. Alles gut. Meine FanFic hat jetzt im Übrigen Pferde, und ich weiß nicht, ob ich entzückt darüber sein, oder mich schämen soll. Es sind keine sexy Pferde. Geht eher in Richtung von Mein Kleines Pony.

Nein, nein - es sind richtige Pferde! Große, edle Viecher! Aber sie benehmen sich nicht so! Und geritten ist auch noch keiner, obwohl ich das ganz fest geplant hatte ... und so langsam kommt in mir der Verdacht auf, dass das alles eine ganz grässliche, aus dem Ruder gelaufene Metapher ist.
