artphilia | Destiny

Today we went to the garden, to have a barbeque with my parents in law and it was a very nice afternoon. :) As I sat on the table I took a look around and detected a amazing butterfly at one of my flower perennials. It is a Vanessa atalanta - Admiral. He sat there for more than 15 minutes and I started to wonder why he just sat there. He was not drinking any juice from the flowers nor did he fly around. A few minutes later - after the barbeque - I took a closer look. He remained sitting - after I tried cautiously to touch him. He climbed at my finger instead of flying away and I was totally happy. I mean I admire butterflies and one just climbed at my finger. After the rapture I began to realize that he might be ill or something. One of his wings looked damaged, as if a bird or something caught and bit him. But I thought, hey he made it to your garden, so maybe it is not *that* bad. Now I think it is THIS bad and it was his destiny to fly into my garden, right in front of me. I took him with me. He is now right beside me and I have this bad feeling that he'll die tonight. Not because I took him with me, because of the damage on his wing. *cries* I'll keep him forever. I can't put him on a flower outside. I think as long as he lives he is just food for the birds and I don't want him to end like this. Unfortunatly the pictures we took with my cellphone ain't that good. :( But I'll show them to you anyways. ;)
